Naat Competition

Saturday, October 18, 2014 – UAF —In connection with the sacred month of Dhu Al-Hijja, Bitionics Society UAF organized Naat competition among non-professional Naat khwans of UAF in order to promote the spirit of Prophet(Peace be upon him).

Chairman Tasleem mustafa, BiToniCS Society UAF, Awarded shields and certificates to the winners of Naat competition.

­­There are the famous naat khawans of the City evaluated the competitors which were almost 46 in number.

In this competition, Ms. Sundus iftikhar got first position.

Addressing at the occasion, Sir Tasleem Mustafa said, “Love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) lies in the heart of every Muslim and our religion disseminates the message of affection, tolerance and brotherhood”. He also colored different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He stressed on the need for following the ‘Sunnah’ of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), which is the only way to bring the world out of chaos and restore universal peace.


1st Programming Competition

This programming competition was convened, assisted and organized by BiToniCS society of computer science department UAF. Aim of this competition was to asses and ascertain the depth of student’s knowledge, build their confidence and inculcate in them the professional aptitude. It consisted of two rounds: firstly students passed through elimination round were based on MCQs and then they were given rapid problems to solve in fixed amount of time. According to the results Mr. Waseem Altaf leaded in the competition by completing the task in the shortest time.

This event was supervised by Chairman Sir Tasleem Mustafa, Vice Chairman Sir Hussain Tariq and Sir Salman. Certificates were distributed among the students by Sir Fahad Jan.This event was highly appreciated by different tiers of university as it is supposed as a stepping stone in establishing computer technology based competitions which are the dire need of hour. The department administration also showed its determination to hold such activities more frequently and at a more broad level in the near future.
